Refund & Cancellation Policy
At VIROOT, every spice is packed as a sealed food product with care, traceability, and hygiene in mind. Because our products are edible pantry items, we do not accept general returns once delivered.
VIROOT does not offer cash refunds as a standard policy. Approved cases will be resolved through replacement or store credit of equal value, unless a monetary refund is required under applicable law.
1. Cancellations
You may request cancellation before your order is shipped.
To cancel an order, contact us at viroot23@gmail.com or +91 9324337393 with your order number.
Once the order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled.
2. Returns
For food safety and hygiene reasons, we do not accept returns of:
- Opened products
- Used products
- Partially consumed products
- Products with broken or tampered packaging after delivery
- Products stored incorrectly after delivery
3. Replacement or Store Credit Eligibility
You may request a replacement or store credit only if:
- You received the wrong product.
- The product was damaged during shipping.
- The product seal was broken or tampered with at delivery.
- Items were missing from your order.
- The product received was expired.
- The product received was defective or did not match the product description.
Requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.
4. Proof Required
To help us review your request, please share:
- Order number
- Clear photos or video of the outer package
- Photos of the product, label, seal, and issue
- Unboxing video, if available
Please keep the original packaging until your request is resolved.
5. Resolution
If your request is approved, VIROOT may offer one of the following:
- Replacement of the same product
- Replacement with another product of equal value
- Store credit of equal value for future purchase
Store credit will be issued to the customer account, email, phone number, or discount code linked to the original order.
6. Store Credit Validity
Store credit is valid for [12 months] from the date of issue.
Store credit cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be transferred unless approved by VIROOT.
7. No Cash Refunds
VIROOT does not provide cash refunds for standard return, exchange, or customer preference requests.
Cash refunds will be considered only where required under applicable law or where VIROOT is unable to provide a valid replacement or store credit remedy.
8. Natural Variation
Natural spices may vary slightly in colour, aroma, texture, and intensity from batch to batch.
This is not considered a defect. Soil is not a factory line — and frankly, that is the whole point of VIROOT.
9. Non-Eligible Cases
Replacement or store credit will not be offered in the following cases:
- Request raised after 48 hours of delivery
- Product opened, used, or consumed
- Product damaged after delivery
- Product stored incorrectly
- Customer changed their mind after delivery
- Taste, aroma, colour, or texture variation due to natural batch differences
- Incorrect address or phone number provided by the customer
- Failed delivery due to customer unavailability
- Minor outer packaging dents that do not affect the sealed product inside
